Although we know Sirius, the Dog Star, doesn’t really heat things up as it rises and sets with the sun this time of the year, there’s no denying that the dog days of summer call for extra precautions.

How do you know you’re getting dehydrated? Dizziness and nausea are familiar symptoms, but the easiest is to look in the toilet after you use it. If your urine is a pale yellow, you’re good. If you see a darker tint, rev up the liquids. You might even consider sports drinks for a quick boost.
