If you haven’t seen our new Water Quality Report yet, you’ll want to give it a quick read.
In short, we can tell you that Granger-Hunter Improvement District is looking good, meeting and exceeding state and national standards. But you might say “improvement” is our middle name and we always find ways we can improve our operation.
And the biggest improvement, we can make is reducing the amount of contaminants that are working their way into our source water. Fortunately, the Salt Lake County Landfill, open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday at 6030 West 1300 South, is able to safely dispose of the motor oil, paint, petroleum products and more that are brought there.
And you play an important part in that equation! Here’s how you can help us keep our water quality high and our wastewater operation moving smoothly.
We look forward to a day when water conservation comes as naturally as breathing or putting one foot in front of another. But until then, we all need to do our part to protect our resources, today and in the future.
